Kona has had my attention for the past five years and recently in a big way. Every time I visit, which isn’t as often as it should be, I find a new, beautiful place on the big island that simply impresses. And the locations I have frequented are still as inspiring as the first time I saw them. Two of my brothers are living in Kona and making a life for themselves there. I don’t know how much longer they will stay, but I would like to make a point of seeing them whenever possible. I think the draw to that island is tied to seeing people I miss and the opportunity to share experiences in an exotic location with familiar people. Recently, my wife and I have had a few adventures around Hawaii that rekindled our desire to be outdoors, which is easily fostered in a perfect year round 82-degree climate.
