The life applications that a high ropes course and low group initiatives can bring to a person and their community is so valuable. I am a big fan of challenging experiences that helps a person grow. I am a bigger fan of challenging experiences in the outdoors. (Next, I think I’ll post some travel photography that really pushed my limits as a padded American. Check in later.) Since my involvement in the Sound View Ropes Course in 2000, I have learned about myself and other people as I have facilitated over the last decade. I never tire of the opportunity to hang in the trees with friends and strangers.
This Spring, I have been collaborating with the staff at Sound View to produce a few short multi-media pieces for promotional use. It is a mix of journalism and directed marketing. The cool thing about doing work for small organizations and companies is that we can really press the boundaries of what is expected because there are very few limitations… the biggest being finances. But people are becoming more creative with the open platform of web and digital media. Companies who traditionally did not look to media promo (what ever form that takes) are looking to creatives for web exposure. Join in… it is going to interesting places.
