Cassandra (pictured below) from Coco+Kelley designed this room featured in HGTV.com and created a very cool modern decor for Christmas. The flat was in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Seattle and had great light on a grey Northwest day. It almost felt like Christmas was coming. Its too early to play Bing, but thinking about the holidays is pretty exciting.

This month, I have an image published in the LoftLife magazine (yep, found at your local news rack) and additionally on the LoftLife website. A friend of mine, Cassandra, has been featured in the magazine for her design blog which has been gaining attention. I was hired for the shoot and enjoyed seeing one of her decorated spaces. When I drove up to the location, I found Cassandra spray painting a lamp because she wanted it to have a certain look and color. Why not? Who said you have to be satisfied with the styles and trends that are marketed to us. Be a smart consumer and use a little thrift. It could be fun/creative and might add a little individuality.
